On May 5, 2016, the Promotion Meeting for the Distribution Transformer Energy-Efficiency Improvement Plan (2015-2017) was held in Nanjing. The event was hosted by the Department of Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), organized by the National Distribution Transformer Energy-Efficiency Improvement Industry Alliance, and co-hosted by our company. Relevant leaders from the Energy Conservation Department of MIIT, the Department of Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Metrology Department of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and the Jiangsu Provincial Economic and Information Commission attended and delivered important speeches. Our company’s chairman, Mr. Qian Hongjin, and deputy general manager, Mr. Di Jingxiang, were invited to attend.

The conference aimed to implement the Distribution Transformer Energy-Efficiency Improvement Plan (2015-2017), advance the 2016 energy-efficiency improvement tasks for distribution transformers, and exchange successful experiences in promoting energy-saving distribution transformer technologies and equipment. Economic and information commissions from various provinces across the country, along with more than 70 industry enterprises, participated in the event.

The meeting introduced national and local policy documents related to distribution transformer energy-efficiency improvement, China’s distribution transformer energy-efficiency standard system, and the usage, upgrading, and retrofit plans for distribution transformers in public power grids and industrial enterprises. Representatives from economic and information commissions in Shandong, Guangxi, and other regions shared their achievements and experiences. State Grid Corporation presented outstanding case studies on distribution transformer energy-saving retrofits, while experts and key alliance members exchanged views on financing models for transformer upgrades and advanced energy-saving distribution transformer technologies.

As an invited participant, our company delivered a keynote presentation titled “Transformer Quality Control and Energy-Efficiency Improvement Solutions,” outlining our overall profile and recent stable development. We noted that, in recent years, stricter State Grid quality monitoring and increased production of oil-immersed distribution transformers have led to more frequent exposure of operational failures. Since 2010, based on inspection statistics, we have adjusted product design, manufacturing, and delivery interfaces, significantly enhancing product reliability. We also introduced 110 kV–220 kV environmentally friendly, energy-saving main transformers, which underwent comprehensive testing by the China Electric Power Research Institute as a solution for main-transformer energy-efficiency improvement. The presentation received positive feedback and sparked lively discussion among attendees.

After the meeting, delegates visited our company, offering high praise for our technical verification, process control, and quality assurance.
